Finbarr Doyle Writer Actor

Jeda de Brí is Founder and Artistic Director of Sickle Moon Productions.

Most recently she directed The Egg is a Lonely Hunter (Nominated: Best New Writing, Little Gem Award & First Fortnight Award) at Project Arts Centre and All honey (Winner: Best New Writing) at The New Theatre, both premiering as part of Dublin Fringe 2017.

She co-wrote and directed TRYST for Sickle Moon at Tiger Dublin Fringe 2016 which was nominated for the Fishamble Best New Writing Award and published by Oberon Books as part of Fresh Cuts: 2015/2016 Dublin Fringe. TRYST will return in 2018 for a full run at Project Arts Centre.

Other work for Sickle Moon includes Slippers, Tactics & Spectres created while in residence at Theatre Upstairs 2014 and the co-production Cirque Des Reves (Smock Alley & Bewleys Café Theatre) with Illustrated Productions.

Other directorial credits include: The Grimm Tale of Cinderella (Smock Alley Theatre) Mimes in Time (Edinburgh Fringe 2016, Tiger Dublin Fringe 2016 - Nominated: Little Gem Award), Tales From Briar Hall (Illustrated Productions), Tracer (Purple Heart) and Slice The Thief (Bitter Like a Lemon).

As an Assistant Director she has worked with David Grindley on The Heiress at The Gate Theatre, Ronan Phelan on The Effect, produced by Rough Magic at Project Arts Centre and Jim Culleton with Fishamble on the Dublin Theatre Festival show, On Blueberry Hill.

Her short film, Procession was selected as part of The Irish Film Boards Short Stories Scheme and will shoot in March 2018 with a premier at the Galway Film Fleadh later that year.

 

 
 
 

Finbarr Doyle is an actor, writer, and founding member of Sickle Moon.

For Sickle Moon, he has co-written the one-act plays TRYST, Spectres, Tactics, and Slippers. He also co-adapted Jekyll and Hyde and co-wrote the short pieces Pitcher, Presentation, Trinkets and Strobing Effects, and the short film Chimneys.

As an actor, he has performed in TRYST, Cirque Des Reves, Pitcher, Presentation, Spectres, Tactics, Strange Case of Doctor Jekyll and Mister Hyde, Conversation With a Cupboard Man and Chimneys.

As a freelance performer, he appeared most recently in The Grimm Tale of Cinderella at Smock Alley Theatre.
